I never finished the Floyd section of chapter 2, so please read. :)

Animal was growing at a rapid rate. In just the two weeks he'd had him, the little guy had grown as tall as Floyd's waist. And he'd been crying/howling/grunting more at night, too, forcing his caretaker to sneak out with a blanket and sleep in the garage, too.

It was a mystery, really. How he'd found him, what he was. At first Floyd figured Animal was a bear, a very Muppety bear, with red fur, but then quickly had dropped the thought when he noticed the lack in visible ears.

It was a chilly Saturday, and he needed to get out of the house...his parents were driving him nuts, scolding him for dropping out of college or whatever...he wasn't really listening. Floyd had decided to drive up into the hills, just for the heck of it. The fog was thick, and the trees dense. He could barely see the road in front of him, until he caught a glimpse of red, and --

Slam!

He hit the breaks fast. It was alive, and he only realized as he came a few inches in front of it. he hopped out of his parent's car, and slowly approached it...Animal was tiny, about the size of a full grown chihuahua, and cute, too. Wide, curious eyes, big tooth-less mouth. And yet, he was unlike any creature Floyd had seen before.

But he was in bad shape.  Matted fur, visible ribs...being the secret softy that he was, the only thing Floyd could do was wrap him in his jacket and take him home.

His parents couldn't find out. If they did...well, he hoped he wouldn't have to find out what they'd do. No one ever went into the garage, really, except for Floyd - it was where he kept his guitar. So, he made a tiny bed of blankets, brought a bowl of food and another of water, set them in the garage and could only hope for the best.

*Sorry, this is like the worst part yet... :P I just had to put it down so there wouldn't be an empty hole in the story. Bye
